Growing increasingly frustrated with the “experiments” occurring on the item detail pages to satisfy Plex’s quest to create it’s own social network at the expense of information and usability.
The newest re-design has Plex removing information about the director and writers from the movie info page. Please put them back. This is useful information and has been part of the Plex UI for a decade. There was no need to remove it.
Just noticed this as well. That must be bug rather than a design decision, right?

I don’t have much new to add to what’s been said here already, but do want to chime in to agree that this is a truly terrible decision on Plex’s part. Makes the app much less useful and enjoyable for anyone who’s even just a little bit of a film buff.

The fact I can’t search my library for other works by director or writer is such an obvious oversight.
Echo this for Roku. New version looks nice but lacks info.
This is still an issue for me. I use Apple TVs throughout the house. I always want to see the Director and Writer credits
I can’t believe this hasn’t returned. Not only should the information be shown it should be clickable to see all the items by those creators.
Six months since this change was made, still nothing.
Still got that big ol’ row telling me I have activity on a movie, cause that’s super useful information given then fact there’s a gd watched status indicator on the same page and Plex isn’t smart enough to recognize no one else has watched the item so this is useless info to be showing me.
So freakin user hostile for the sake of silicon valley investors wanting to shoehorn a foolish social network into this app.
