Please stop auto completing long videos at 90%

I’m constantly losing my spot in longer videos that have over 30 minutes left because the mark complete algorithm uses a percentage with no reasonable upper limit. I know lazy people whine loudly that If they don’t watch the credits their stuff isn’t marked watched. Thing is there’s no real downside to manually marking it watched, but auto marking it DELETES the last watched position with no way to recover. That should carry some weight.

I’d be happy to have the option to disable this misguided feature outright and manually mark things when I had to. Otherwise having a USER CONFIGURABLE upper limit (I’d like 1 minute max, because I always watch credits anyhow).

I really miss when Plex had more options for things and wasn’t opposed to being configurable. Now it’s very “My way or the highway” but I came to Plex because I could do things my way, and that’s been taken away more and more over time.

Annoying, ain’t it… when we find out Plex doesn’t know everything about how we watch our media, but have forced us into The Plex Way or The Highway because they’re so sure they’ve got it all figured out.

Note to Plex: you have very little ‘Figured Out’. When you figure that out - we’ll have something figured out.

If you’ve got 30 minutes left, that means the video is 6 hours or longer. Having a 6 hour long video is not typical so I would say that case is an extreme outlier.

For you, maybe. Not for me. We watch a lot of musicals and music festivals and such. 4-6 hours are the norm, and this happens to me a lot because I often watch them over a number of viewings. Don’t tell me what’s typical for me because that’s typical for you.
