I run plex on my synology DS1813+
I have moved to Saudi Arabia. Now once I have plugged everything in and tried to access Plex, no servers or libraries are available. Also difficult to even log onto my synology server.
I can see my Synology server on my local desktop through Mac finder, but the web tool can’t find it on my network.
I have a second synology server in Australia running Plex as well. I can’t access it either.
I am not super techie… so any advice will have to be set by step !
I can only access my logs directly on the Plex folder on my NAS. I have attached the latest, which is a few months old, from before I moved countries. Plex Media Server.4.log (6.7 MB)
Can you login to the local Synology NAS (the NAS itself, not Plex)?
If not, then you’ve a network configuration problem with the Synology and/or your Mac.
Contact Synology Support to verify. You might need to perform a “Mode 1 reset”, then configure the Synology network settings for your new location.
A Mode 1 reset will reset the administrator password, IP address, and DNS settings to their default values. It does not affect the data on your system. Synology Support can lead you through the process.
The log file shows the NAS is running DSM 6.1, which is several years old. I could not find the appropriate Synology documentation to link (everything I found was for DSM 6.2.4 or later).
I can log into my NAS. If I look at the Plex package, it says it is running, and if I click the web link to view it, it opens plex, but I don’t see my server or the libraries.
