Plex 2026.4.0 Unusable

The video practically sums up why I cannot use the video.

Is there a reason that my app is doing this?

I’m not sure what’s causing it in your case, but there are a couple of suggestions I can make to try to clear it up. The the following, in order:

  • Clear the app’s cache. In the app, navigate to Settings → Advanced and select ā€œReset Cacheā€; and if that doesn’t work,
  • Sign out of the app and sign back in.

I’m not seeing that behavior on my Android mobile device (a tablet), but it’s likely not an apples-to-apples comparison.

same here - I bought a Plex Pass years ago but within the past year Plex has seriously gone downhill in a major way - not just the UX, but the latency, crashing after pausing or rewinding, and at least once a week acting like it cannot connect with my video storage server - full screen of ā€œNOPEā€ and yet, EVERY other app and streaming service can still read that storage unit and play from it.
Plex has really given all of us no reason to continue using it.
Your instructions don’t work on my end because no matter what settings menu I find, there is no ā€œAdvancedā€ tab or mention of clearing cache anywhere I can see, though I;ve signed out and in and updated and everything.
This is unacceptable!

In the Android mobile app (I tested on 2026.4.0), tap your avatar in the top-left. From there, select ā€˜Settings → Advanced.’ That’s where you’ll find ā€˜Reset Cache.’

If you’re still having issues after clearing your cache, can you please grab your logs and share them here or DM them to me.

Clearing Cache did not fix the issue

Here are the logs
