Plex 6316 Not Working on Mac OS High Sierra

Server Version#:1.29.1.6316
Player Version#:All
I am running Plex Media Server on a Mac with Core i5 running High Sierra (Latest version available for this hardware). After allowing Plex to upgrade from 1.29.1.6244 to 1.29.1.6316 the ability to access the server settings stopped working with a Server Setting Unavailable Error. After much troubleshooting I backed Up Plex, cleanly removed Plex 1.29.1.6316 and did a fresh install. The Same issue happened on a clean install. I removed Plex 1.29.1.6316 and re-installed Plex 1.29.1.6244 and it installed fine. I restored my backup and Plex is back to normal prior to the 1.29.1.6316 upgrade. Am I limited to 1.29.1.6244 with this version of Mac OS?

I’ll second this request for some help - I ran into the exact same problem on a Mac with Core i5 running Mojave (macOS v10.14.6, which is also the latest version available for that particular hardware). I also had to roll back to the previously installed version of Plex Media Server.
Just out of curiosity, jjrnjr, how did you download the previous version for reinstallation? Unfortunately I didn’t have a recent backup of my Mac, and I couldn’t find any archives of previous PMS installers anywhere on the plex.tv domain, so I had to take my chances with a third party archiver (MacUpdate.com, in this case), which obviously made me a little nervous. Did you find a more authoritative source, by any chance?

No. 10.13 should be fine. It may have been going through database migrations.

I use mac filehorse. Check any download you find against the original file hashes below. I downloaded each original myself from Plex except for (1) which is from Filehorse today to prove it matched.

Thanks @BigWheel. I had 6316 Running for days and still had the problem, I would be surprised if it was DB migration and only impacting server settings and not content catalog or the ability to play content.
