Config : mac mini connected to netgear duo nas (wired)First, I updated my netgear firmware to 4.1.8 (to handle Lion AFP). I should not have swtich to Lion ....
I did not have stuttering issue but since few days, even an SD movie is stuttering all the time. Trying to access the folder to find subtitle is painfull.
After cleaning, complete delete and reinstall of plex (am a patient guy scanning 1.5 To is pretty long :D)
It was still stuttering like hell.
Tried to watch the same SD file putting plex on a laptop using wifi, no stuttering
Tried to put the file on mac mini HD , no stuttering.
Seems clear the nas as an issue
After looking on Netgear forum, it apperas many people report it but using lion I cannot downgrade my firmware (don't even know if it is possible )
Tried deactivation of CIFS protocol, even bonjour and appletalk service for AFP. Still the issue
here is my little piece of experience regarding stuttering if it can help someone wondering why it is stuttering with the same kind of setup.
In this case, plex is not the issue :D
