Plex accesible by WiFi but not ethernet

After a computer crash and reload, I tried to download Plex Server but Plex website would not recognise my login, nor find me the Download I needed - “Try Later” it suggested. Oddly I could do both easily from a second computer. The only difference being that Computer One was on Ethernet and Two on WiFi.

Switching Comp One to Wifi and everything OK. Loaded server and launched - everything fine and accessible from Comp2 and phone and pad. But SLOW as long distance between router and Computer.

So, - WiFi works, but Ethernet to same router doesn’t. I’ve seen other reports of this on Googling the problem, but with no working solutions.

ANY ideas please on where I might start looking to find the gremlin please ?
