Plex amp for Android TV

I really dig the aspect… of movies on one side… music on other side using the same server.

Is there an android tv app for that?

i just dig my netflix kind of thing on tv and my kinda spotify thing on tv.

i don’t dig the web shows thing… i don’t use the live tv, fortunately it doesn’t show on my ui, but unfortunately I am obliged to see a thing that I’m not into in the android tv app, i also don´t need to see the apps like subzero installed when i scroll down, makes plex ugly, and forcing things on us, specially the crappy webshows that i dont want to consume, even if you put it on my face against my will, and i even not enabling them i have to see them, thats a terrible customization aspect of plex.

Edit: (talking to my self) why don’t you look at settings first, you disabled webshows correctly and it looks better now… except the plugins part, but all good, sometimes is better if you shut your mouth… but having plex front end for movies and series and another one for music is a good idea, for me plex is a server, for content aggregator there’s kodi. Plex is only my netflix and spotify dual interfaces on the same server.

well but we were talking about an freemium alternative to roon server on my NAS…

Requests for Plexamp on Android TV get closed and forwarded to this request as the original, but if you read it, it doesn’t come across like the original poster is asking for plexamp. To me, it looks like a typo, and they were actually asking for a Plex App, which already exists :S

Is that why the voting is so low on this request? Surely Plexamp for Android TV is a highly popular idea.

Fair point… I’ve re-opened the other suggestion.
I’m not even sure what this one is asking for … doesn’t look so much like a suggestion but a rant about … dunno.

Edit: as per the point above… there’s a native Plex client available through the Google Play store that’s working on Android TV. As reflected by the OP, online media sources can be disabled for good using https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources
