I found a thread about using Tasker to control Plex Amp, but it is closed for me to reply to.
According to the Tasker FAQ, we just need Plex Amp to have Accessibility Service.
My tasker tasks opens Plex Amp upon connection to a BT device. AutoInput (using accessibility service) would click play. The task continues with going back to home and then starting Waze.
The Play button is all I am looking for, but I am sure others would like other buttons accessible.

Unfortunately not all apps work with AutoInput. AutoInput uses an accessibility service to click on stuff and sometimes apps are coded in such a way that the accessibility click is disabled.
What you should do is try to contact the app’s developer and ask them to make the button you want to click compatible with an accessibility service. It’s not a hard thing to do, so there’s a good chance they’ll do it
