Hi:
Is anybody successfully connected to and using an Amazon Echo device to play music located on Plex libraries. If yes can you tell me how to do this? Thanks!

There is a long complex discussion of this:
At this point the only thing I can do is start Plex on my Roku with Echo using the Harmony skill. There is no play option and I cannot seem to use the Bluetooth functions of any of my devices to play through my Echo. But I have not tried very hard either.
It was easier to upload my music collection to the Amazon Music storage and now all of my collection is available via echo. Did not take all that long and I had some 7700 albums.

I think this is the best/easiest way to go as well.
The only thing I really despise is that Amazon Music does not let you “organize” your media into folders. (Deleting large amounts media is a pain too) Everything gets dumped in a messy bucket. Now, if they at least allowed you to map Playlists to ACD folders like they do images that would work better for me. The only way I am using Plex successfully wth my Echo and Tap is via blue tooth and that’s not the same as direct integration. I can live with this method until Plex actually releases a skill to provide direct integration.
The competition is moving along…
There’s a thread on here somewhere, someone has created an Alexa skill that streams music from Plex.
Here it is:
