Plex and PlexAmp Issues With Audiobooks

I have two issues:

  • Now that we have to use plexamp for listening to music since it isn’t supported on the regular plex app, I have to switch between libraries (my music and audiobook libraries). The issue is that I have to write down which track I am on in any audiobook I am listening to so that when I come back from listening to my music (or a different audiobook), I can ensure I continue from the correct spot (I’ve had times it just starts up from the first track but if I go to the track it was currently on, it knows where I am in that track). Its like it forgets where it was in the list of tracks but not where it was inside the track it was playing.
  • Is it possible to set individual audiobook tracks to “read” or “unread”? I had an issue where I was listening to an audiobook in my car. I got out and the audiobook continued to play (usually, it stops playing and will continue when I get back in the car but for some reason this time it played for another hour or two). When I got back in it was something like 20-30 tracks further into the audiobook. When I found the track I stopped listening from, I began playing that track. However, after listening to that track, it automatically jumped to the track it was on about 20-30 tracks too far into the book because it had already listened to all those tracks in between. It would be good if I could go into those tracks and say they were “unread” so that it would not jump into the future. At a minimum it would be good to mark the whole audiobook as “unread” and then I could just start from the beginning and just jump over each track I’ve already listened to until I got where I am supposed to be.

Thanks for any assistance you can give me in these issues. BTW, I would just like to say, I really don’t like having to play my music from PlexAmp. I like the user interface from the Plex app better and now that I keep having to switch from my audiobook library to my music library (and vise-versa), it has made it harder to keep track of the audiobooks I’m on and where I am in those books. It was nice just having PlexAmp strictly for my audiobooks.
