Plexamp doesn't continue playing Audiobooks from where they left off

I’ve recently added a new library for my Audiobooks. Since there isn’t a library category for them specifically, I have added it as a music library and simply renamed it.

I listen to Audiobooks when I am driving, however for some reason, Plexamp isn’t very reliable at continuing audiobooks from where they last left off, and of course because some unabridged audiobooks can be upwards of 15 hours in length, trying to use the position slider to get back to the last played location is almost impossible.

Does anyone have any better ideas for better audiobook compatibility? All of mine are in mp3 format.

Enable “Store track progress” in the properties of this library.
When you pause an audiobook, do not do a short tap on the Pause button.
Instead, press it long (which does a full Stop). This stop is then stored on the server, if the above mentioned check box is set.
(A simple Pause however is not stored)

Thanks. “Store track progress” was already enabled, but I was unaware of the long pause.

progress should be stored regardless of pause or stop. we fixed a bug in 4.4. around this.
