I’m experiencing an issue with Live TV programme artwork in the current Android app.
Initially, both the channel logo and programme artwork were not displaying in the new Plex Android app. I found that the XMLTV feed was generating HTTP URLs for the artwork. After changing the configuration so that the generated URLs use HTTPS, the channel logo started displaying correctly.
However, the programme artwork is still missing in the new Plex Android app.
The artwork URLs themselves are accessible over HTTPS and work correctly when opened directly on the Android device.
The same EPG/programme artwork works correctly in:
- Plex Web
- The older Plex Android app
- Plezy
- Windows App
Only the new Plex Android app appears to have the issue.
So far, this seems to indicate that:
- HTTPS fixes the channel logo issue.
- The programme artwork URLs are valid and accessible.
- The programme artwork is correctly present in the XMLTV feed.
- The issue appears to be specific to how the new Android client handles XMLTV programme artwork.
Could this be investigated as a Live TV/EPG programme artwork issue in the new Android client?
