For over a year now, I have been experiencing horrible lag with the Android plex app. On 5 different devices, on 4 different network locations across 2 different physical countries. Bith on VPN and off VPN.
The lag affects ever aspect that I use. List scrolling, streaming, and downloading. It even affects loading the title page for each movie or show - saying “It looks like s9mething went wrong. Please try again.” And i have to close the app repeatedly and kill it as a background operation and try again (sometimes multiple times).
It took my tab s10 ultra almost 2 weeks to download all the seasons of “Ted Lasso” (which isnt a long show, and isnt on a weak or old device). This download was on my home internet with 1gb download connection.
The Android app has been horribly unreliable. And forces me to use Plex on the browsers - where it works flawlessly. Ive tried this on 2 different samsung phones, and 3 different samsung tablets. Its a garbage app experience on every device - in exactly the same ways. One my home network, office network, random public networks, and even on satalite network when i visited family in the United States (I live in Canada). So, not the same network providers, not the same countries, not the same devices, and tried with multiple different plex accounts. And have removed the apps, reinstalled, wiped the devices and refreshed them with new app installs. Nothing improves the app experience.
