I have been on experiencing this problem for some time. Frequently, when casting a movie from the Plex app, I am not able to adjust the volume on the Chromecast (always plays on max volume). I have tried:
- Stopping the movie and closing the Plex app and trying to stream again.
- Adjusting the chromecast volume for a Plex stream through Chromecast App (Home)
- Rebooting the server
- Adjusting the audio boost in Plex app
- Streaming Plex from a different android device
Launching other streaming apps, like Hulu and Netflix, work fine with volume adjustment.
This has been happening throughout version upgrades on both Android (6.1.2.812 (2feac107)) and Plex (Version 1.7.3.3937). I have seen multiple threads on this issue with no resolution. This is the reason I think it is the actual app having issues.
Any ideas, tips, or troubleshooting is greatly appreciated!
