Plex app cannot find server, after synology update

plex server version 1.14.1.5488
Synology version DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 4
latest Android plex app.

Just updated my synology NAS and now all of a sudden the plex app on my phone will not find the plex server on my synology DS916+

it worked just before I did the update.
visiting web interface does work though,

firewall on the NAS is already off, so I don’t think the problem lies there.
Have tried rebooting the NAS and router, reinstalled app on phone, but still the same.

anyone got any solution or input on what this issue can be?

first and foremost, go to detailed server information (on your NAS) and confirm whether you have server status UP and whether it is indeed running

Yes, it is indeed running.
I finally figured it out what the issue was.

In Network -> Enable local network discovery (GDM).
I don’t know if it was toggled ON before, but when I toggled it ON now, it worked:

This is a bit strange, since I know for sure I have not touched that option before.

I will wait and see if it runs smooth and stable from now on…

it might have been that it was just showing as enabled but not actually enabled. That is why I am very careful even restarting the machine hosting the server to make sure settings to not get messed up.
