Plex app can't find new PMS on Ubuntu Server 20.04

Server Version#: plexmediaserver_1.21.3.4021-5a0a3e4b2

I wanted to reduce my media server overhead so I tried installing PMS on Ubuntu Server 20.04. Install looks like it was successful but when i navigate to the local address of my server I don’t get the option to start adding media libraries, in fact Plex doesn’t appear to know my server exists. I also got a “no soup for you” message when i first logged in. My port forwarding is setup as it was on my old install I have no firewall enabled on the server and I don’t have any funny firewall rules on my router. Are there additional steps to take? Is there a log file I can view? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Start over, load Ubuntu Desktop. Plex has dependencies that are the default of the Desktop build. If you don’t want a GUI then just don’t select it.

Download the Plex server from the download page and perform dpkg -i, do not use the appimage version which is the default on 20.04.
