I’m trying to subrscribe for “Technical Evaluation” that is for free.
It asks for a company name (required)…should I set something fake?

After how can I use my local plex instance?
Ho can I use IPTV on my AS650?

put http://plex.tv/web/tv/lg into the address bar is the easiest way for server but if you want use remote not onscreen mouse you’ll need to host a local apache/ngix server to provide tv with the json script, tried putting them on my website and trying them that way but doesn’t work on tv with external server. using iPhone/Android phone is a good alternative for the remote

yeh fake it I out mine as none

Hmm, I went the local apache server route (on my plex nas, wasn’t too hard), but I still get the onscreen mouse (which is ugly as hell and cumbersome)… did you manage to get it working with standard remote style?

I tried but the page cannot load completely :frowning:

Can you explain better the nginx way?
http://plex.tv/web/tv/lg is an html5 site from plex company?
Why “lg” at the end?

you need to put this script in ngix/apache file its simple redirect and the init.json script for keyboard layout

It’s not completely clear (probably because I’m not able to use Plex on my tv yet) but nginx/apache is used only to provide a different json to configure pointing method.

But what about my screenshoot? The page isn’t fully loaded :frowning:
http://plex.tv/web/tv/lg seems to be a different login page that allow you to “pair” a device with plex media server, isn’t it?

Use the panasonic developer html5 app in appmarket you can also try

http://plex.tv/web/tv/generic are you trying it on 4k or normal HD?

With generic it works fine
Thanks!

I’m watching hd contents.

But why I had to register to https://developer.vieraconnect.com/ ?

don’t know

managed to get script working on some spare webspace I got https://plex.rbrit.org/ saves you anyone hosting apache/ngix to get rid of that stupid on screen mouse.

Thanks @ClosestStorm. I tried both generic and your link but I always get stuck in the sign in page after having linked the TV to my plex account. Any idea?
Stupid question, is this reserved for premium users? I’m not one and was wondering whether it could be the reason is failing

it works for non premium members now, used to only be for premium. I loads through the Panasonic iptv developer sdk app. create a Panasonic Viera Connect account at https://developer.vieraconnect.com/ , enter the new login details on ‘iptv html5’ app on your tv and theres a input box next to direct enter either https://plex.tv/web/tv/lg or this https://plex.rbrit.org which load tv remote json then redirects to https://plex.tv/web/tv/lg.

any problem just PM me

I don’t know why I signed to https://developer.vieraconnect.com/ but I didn’t used this credential: I just used panasonic web browser with http://plex.tv/web/tv/generic and all works fine.

What do you mean with " I loads through the Panasonic iptv developer sdk app"?
Using a computer?

Thanks @ClosestStorm. I’ve tried both /lg and /generic and neither work.
So I’ll try via the IPTV tonight to see how it fares.

@mcgyver83 What type of TV do you have? I have a 4K Panny and it turns out to be a bit of a challenge to get Plex working.
Check HERE for more info in the DevTool and developer modes.
Though if it all works for you, I would not change anything else…

@ClosestStorm THANK YOU so much. I finally managed to load plex on my TV. Whereas it would always hang on the linking to my account page, it worked straight away with the IPTV. The stupid mouse still shows though.

@lolouk44
here you go mate https://plex.rbrit.org some spare webspace I had so I thought id put it to use, simply loads scripts needed for the input e.g. remote then redirects you to Plex

@mcgyver83 What do you mean with " I loads through the Panasonic iptv developer sdk app"?

no theres a app on appmarket
or you can setup a proxy redirect a app like what I’ve done here

but the first method with the iptv browser is easier. I’m gona try make a plex plugin to make it easier for people to load proxy redirect like in the video.

Thanks @ClosestStorm but the mouse is still there even with your link. Also it looks like the movies are uploaded from server then downloaded to TV (via internet) when both TV and server are on the same network. Any idea how to fix this?

@lolouk44 you got right SDKs on TV theres the older Ajax-CE and what year TV is it? my tv and Plex are on the same network to. just made some minor adjustments to site try now. try https might be your router firewall blocking json if your using http.

@ClosestStorm I’ve got a TX58DX700B bought early this year.
I was using the html5 IPTV which is working except the mouse was showing
Just installed the Ajax-CE IPTV App and now I get a “timeout occurred. Cannot launch application” error…
Tried both http and https and both fail to connect.
Checked that the router firewall isn’t the issue (even tested with firewall off to be sure)
Any idea?
