Plex app for Panasonic Smart Viera

@shippi said:
Did you tried to change the redirect URI in the index file?
Mine works fine with the “/lg” at the end… but I think it could be related to the resolution of the TV, I just got one with HD, maybe UHD is causing the issue here.
Yes redirected the index file also tried changing the launch_path.
Maybe but the Panasonic html5 app, goes full screen. I have tried the the other tv web apps as well but comes out even smaller. I know plex isn’t in uhd yet so your probably right.

Actually stil not working stuck at sign after linking account ide’s say something todo sentry version

Yes ^^ I had the same problem.
And please don’t credit me for the icons, just stole them from google =p

Maybe we get a Plex dev to help us regarding the right link

Any one have any ideas? I think the Panasonic’s SDK is newer then Firefox’s since they have discontinued b2g for phones and I’ve Noticed user agent is chrome on IPTV version

SDK version’s

Did you have any further luck with this mate? I’m wondering if I can try taking a same approach to an Amazon Prime Video app… even though we can now get Amazon Video in Australia… they haven’t released the app for our TV.

getting a plex app for Panasonic Viera would convert me to a lifetime member!

That would be gold if you could figure it out - I tried setting up for UK VPN, but region coding for the television still seems to prevent the app from showing as an installation option - more than happy to try webide sideload though

UHD all the way!

Just wanted to thank @ClosestStorm and @shippi for their help.
I managed to install Plex on my Panny TX58DX700B
I’m new with this so had to do some research on how to side load the app.
For those like me I found enough info HERE on how to enable the DevTool on the Panny and side load an app via WebIDE

I can sign in and link the TV to my account, but it then stays on the activating screen. If I switch off the TV and restart it, I then launch Plex and I eventually end up with this error message: NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE:

Any idea?

Brilliant - finally understand how to get Plex installed. Tried the 4K version on my CX802B and get the same error.

It is a shame I am not a developer as I would gladly help. Good work so far.

Would appreciate any help. I have tried side loading the 4K app but get the same error as skutterbob in that it registers the tv but the freezes at the activation stage.

Sorry, should have said, it’s as Panasonic tx-40ex700

Sorry but I didn’t get what is panasonic iptv browser. I have a TX-50AS650E how can I use plex in it?
