anyone know why this keeps happening? driving me nuts. the whole player freezes and I have to log out of Windows and back in to get it to fully close. are you guys aware of this over at the plex headquarters? hopefully because this is infuriating
I’m not going to do all that work for you, especially if you aren’t going to guide me where it is. This hasn’t been an issue in the past on this same OS and hardware. I can only assume an update from your end has fudged it up.
I don’t think we will be able to get anywhere if you can’t derive the latest versions of the player and server yourself, so I think I’ll just wait and see if an update will fix it in the future. maybe enough people will get affected by it. its funny because HTPC is now more stable than the original player.
The version numbers (especially of the app) serve two purposes. It ensures you actually are running the latest version (this not being the case has happened many times before) and it tells us which app you are running as you didn’t definitively say.
That aside, I gave you my best guess from the information I did have. Additionally, If you no issues with a previous version, it’d also be helpful to indicate the last version which work properly for you.
