Plex App Freezing on Windows 10 - PC unresponsive

Plex App freezes every time I play a video. The video plays for a few seconds/minutes then the screen freezes but sound continues to play. If I am in full screen my PC becomes totally unresponsive and I cannot close the app or open the task manager. The only way to close the app is to switch off my PC by holding the power button!
If I am in widowed mode, the video freezes then the app crashes, video resets to its previous play position and repeats until I close the app.

I do not have any issues running plex through the web app.

I have recently updated to the latest version of PMS for QNAP NAS. Please note I have had this issue before but it seemed to get fixed in an update. Now the issue is back probably with the latest build.

You have not said which Plex App and which version

I am guessing it is Plex Media Player

Could you get diagnostics for the issue when it is in windowed mode. and then after that repeat the test with the same media using Plex Web. Leave a gap of few minutes between tests and indicate the time of each test

The diagnostics for the failing test that would be a full screenshot, debug logs from the server and Plex Media Player logs and media info xml. And for the successful test using Plex Web, just the server logs - the test should be for the same media file

Restart the server before doing the test so new log files get created
