Hi everyone, first time posting here! I don’t know where to start with this issue. I’ve had plex for years without big issues, usually all smooth. But now on both of my fire tv sticks every time I start a movie the app crashes and restarts. It can do it four or even five time before I’m able to watch something. It’s been really annoying… anyone has the same problem? Is there a fix?

I been having this same problem for a couple months. Multiple Firesticks (HD sticks both 1+ years old) but have been keeping up with the latest Firestick firmware and Plex app version. Server version also doesn’t seem to make a difference either as last two major releases I have had the same issue. Have no problem with roku players and Samsung TVs .
Thought I was the only one having this issue until now…
I re-install Plex’s poor excuse of a DVR every couple months to check it out, confirm that’s it’s still pitiful, uninstall and return to something that works. I did that pretty recently and the app crashed twice on my Fire Stick during about 60 minutes. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the crashing problem is a lot more common than you thought.
last couple of days, every movie I try to play starts, then plex crashes back to firestick menu. IDK what has changed but its incredibly frustrating.
