The Plex app is no longer supported and therefore not available in Qumi app store (I have qumi q3+). Vivitek support suggested downloading the APK version of Plex and installing it by USB. Any ideas why Plex is no longer supported or how I could install it? Should I install Plex Android? Or Plex Android TV?

The Plex for Android app is only available from the Google Play Store or the Amazon Appstore. AFAIK, Plex was not involved in publishing our app in the Qumi app store. You can obtain the latest version from the release notes thread, Plex for Android. It’s the same app for mobile devices and TV devices. The app will configure itself appropriately.
According to Vivitek support the Qumi App Store just filters the Google Play Store to display the apps that are compatible with the projector. I used to have the Plex App installed in my Qumi Q3+, but I sent the projector for repair and they sent me a new one and now the Plex app is no longer available.
I will try to download the app for android and install it in the projector… hopefully it runs

What version of Android does that projector run? You might have an old version that we no longer support and your old projector was running an older build that stopped updating.
