Plex was working just fine on my Sharp LC-55P6000U. Yesterday tried to open it and all of a sudden it says “Plex is currently unavailable on the Vewd app store”. I can still find it in the app store on the TV (I uninstalled and reinstalled) but that didn’t help, same error.
Plex is not officially supported on Sharp Smart TVs. I’ll check if we can do anything, but no guarantees.

So I have to factory reset my TV according to that thread? Seems like an ongoing issue since October, is there going to be a fix?
I am having the same problem with the same TV It was working fine. I have been trying for nearly a week to figure this out.

It has to do with the entire Vewed App, apparently it’s not “officially” supported.

Plex is indeed STILL available in the app store but everytime you try to open it you get that message, even after uninstalling/reinstalling the app.
I understand from reading this post that its not “officially supported”, but is there a way to uninstall the update on my tv that caused this? Seriously what is the reason to have a smart TV if I have to buy a ChomeCast or other streaming device to watch my Plex??
In the same boat here. I bought my Sharp TV on Black Friday and the first app I opened was PLEX. It worked perfectly until the latest update a few days ago. But for me, PLEX has completely disappeared from the app store after the update.
Same for me, PLEX is no more available in the vewd app store. I bought this TV because plex was available. I am buying a chromecast and I am going back to EMBY, and last SHARP tv I buy.
I wrote to VEWD TV a few weeks ago, they respond this morning saying that they have solve the problem, PLEX is now available again in the app store and works just fine (in my case).
Plex is back for me too. My reply this morning was:
What we actually meant was that the PLEX app was never available on the devices with software development kit 4.9 (SDK 4.9), As you can see in the Device Info app your device has this model of SDK. This is why we’ve incorrectly assumed that this app was never available on your device. However it is possible that your device was updated from SDK 4.7 (on which this app has been available for a long time) to SDK 4.9 and as a result you cannot launch this app.
We’ve performed testing process on SDK 4.9 and now Plex is available on them.
