Plex App Missing From New 2024 98in Samsung App Store

So I bought two new model 2024 year Samsung TVs for Black Friday and also have an older 65in Samsung TV. The Plex app shows in Samsung Smart Hub in 2 of them but not on the third.

All 3 TVs are Tizen, and the two new TVs are both Crystal UHD, with one being 85in and one being 98in. The 85in has the Plex app in the App Store, but the 98in does not. Both TVs are fully updated, so this seems to be an issue with specifically the 98in model. Model number DU9000 “Samsung 98” Class DU9000 Series Crystal UHD Smart Tizen (2024)” from Best Buy.

What’s going on here?

I just got one today also and was really bummed the app isnt available. Would also love an update or solution if anyone finds one.

I have a SAMSUNG DU9070 (year 2024) 98 inch Crystal UHD Smart TV with Tizen operating system. Unfortunately, I can’t find a Plex app under Apps. It’s simply not there. Does anyone have any ideas?

Your TV has TIZEN OS 8? Then you can use the magnifying glass at the top left under “Apps” and search for “Plex”. Is that how you did it?

Yes oddly there is no app store Icon and to get an app you effectively have to use the magnifying glass to access apps, however Plex isn’t available…

I really wonder why and would love to have an proper explanation and a possible workaround or time frame before it becomes available.

Was really dissapointed !

Model: Samsung UE98DU9070UXXN
Software version: T-PTMDDEUC-1201.8, F13C2050, BT-S
Yes, I went over the magnifying glass. Yes, I have a Samsung account and am also logged in to the TV with it.
I can’t find the Plex app. It looks like the app doesn’t exist - no hits.
Please check this case. As you can see, other people have the same problem.

The way I see it, the device is for Austria according to the country code (XN). Is that perhaps the reason? Do you live in Austria? I am not sure: Country code USA = ZA???

Yes, I am from Austria and also bought the device in Austria. Plex is available on my other Samsung TV. But not on the 98 inch TV.

Ok, then either Samsung didn’t report the existence of the UE98DU9070U to Plex, or Samsung forgot to activate this TV for app downloads.

That’s bad!
Maybe a Plex employee can clarify things.
