Hi,
Just bought a brand new Samsung TV model UE98DU9070U.
Obviously the first app I wanted to install was Plex.
Couldn’t locate an app store icon so I thought I had a problem with my TV and called Samsung help desk.
It appear that on that particular Tizen OS operated TV you access the apps through a simple search…OK
So I searched for Plex and couldn’t find it.
We ended up finding this page https://support.plex.tv/articles/204080173-which-smart-tv-models-are-supported/
From there we found this page TV Model Groups | Samsung Developer
Which is a Samsung page !!!
It appears my TV DU9070 is not on the list !!!
No neeed to say that I’m seriously disapointed by god knows who for not being able to setup Plex on a brand new very expensive TV !!!
So here are my questions:
Why can’t my TV install a plex app?
Samsung help desk is pretending it is Plex that doesn’t make it available for my particular TV, is that true?
Is it a final thing or can I expect it to appear at some point?
Is there anyting I can do ? Like getting a app file that I could push into the TV?
Anything else I should know or you would advise me?
