Plex App on Apple TV4 crashes when accessing Live TV & DVR

Recently my Plex App on my Apple TV4, newest version, has started to crash when accessing Live TV & DVR. The “What’s on” tab is working fine, but when accessing “Guide” the App crashes within a second. If i try to play Live TV from the “What’s on” tab, the App crashes during buffering.

This has been working fine for years, and various devices, but there seem to be a new bug that have been introduced with a recent update.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Update, i just found out the bug is also present when using Plex on my iPhone 11 Pro, but not on my M1 Macbook Pro.

Happening here too. Also, happening on my iPhone app. Fire TV app is fine. This happened about 2 weeks ago then automatically fixed itself overnight without any changes.

I fixed this by deleting the DVR and setting it up again. It was crashing on me on my iPhone 11 Pro.

Also experiencing this on Apple TV (most recent update) and iPhone 11 Pro.

Deleting the DVR and setting it up again, as suggested, doesn’t work.

Works fine on GoogleTV and web.

Same problem here. Apple TV 4K 2nd generation. Works fine on my Apple TV 1st gen.

I’m having the same issue on latest iphone with ios15 and appletv all gens. This is just depressing

Player crashing on every iOS app (iPhone and apple tv) when the Live TV guide is selected

Server Version#: Version 1.24.3.5033 Player Version#: iOS Latest players (iPhone iOS 15 and Apple TV both old as new models) I am not being able to use plex anymore because live tv guide stopped working on every ios device, while it works fine in the web and on samsung tizen app for example. I don’t even know where to start debugging this an honestly I’m very tired of all these sudden crashes. My wife gave up of using it altogether. Is there anyone from the company who is interested to help? …

Plex on Apple TV has been complete garbage for a couple months for me. Won’t even play Live Tv streams let alone it’s own DVR files. Only platform I am facing this issue. Infuse, Roku, iPad, iPhone, Desktop……all play fine.
Thinking of moving on. Don’t see any efforts addressing this issue with lackadaisical performance on the 4k ATV.

Bump. This issue persists in recent 1.25.x public and beta versions, as well as the more recent 1.24.x versions of PMS, so I don’t believe this issue has been resolved server-side.
