Plex App on IOS Crashing Repeatedly

Player Version#: 2025.27.0

New iPhone 17 Pro Max running IOS 26.0.1.

The app will load and I can start playing media from one of my libraries but when I close that video and open another one the app will freeze and I will have to restart. The app provided an error message to download logs. It seems to happen when I try and switch libraries. I’ve tried reinstalling the app, resetting the cache, but nothing has worked.

Thankfully I am not experiencing the issue on my iPad Pro M4, only the iPhone. If anyone can provide help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I’m also having the same issue.

Details:

iOS Plex Player: 2025.27.0

iOS Version: 26.0.1

iPhone version: iPhone 16

Storage available: 95GB

Everything was working perfectly (I was watching media that had previously downloaded).

In the Apple AppStore I noticed that there were several app updates available, so I chose update all. After this Plex, no longer works.

As soon as I attempt to open the app, it closes/crashes immediately - no chance to choose any media and/or options

Things I’ve tried

• Restarted iPhone
• Deleted app (and lost all my download media)
• Reinstalled app
• Deleted app again, restarted phone, reinstalled app
• Checked for updates (non-available)

I found a solution.

Instead of deleting the app from the Home Screen, go to Settings - General - iPhone storage.

Find the Plex app and delete it.

Restart iPhone and reinstall app.

For me this worked.
