iOS App crashes the first two times I open it on my iPhone 15 iOS 18.2 Beta 2 the majority of the time. I will usually run stably on the third attempt at opening the app. Does anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it. Thank you for your help.
I fixed it by uninstalling the app, then going to the Plex server and deleting the device from the server. Then reinstall the app and sign back in and it started working again
Same problem on iPad Mini 7. Both the app and iOS are up to date. Persistent crashes on startup, then once it finally does open, it rarely works long enough to hit the play button on anything Amazingly, the problem has gotten worse with this week’s update.
Sadly the iOS has been a dumpster fire for years for so many people, stability seems to be a challenge. What I’m most annoyed about, absolutely no support provided by Plex even after specific and clear reporting, including so many rounds of debug and logging updates that I lost count. Sad to hear this is still happening, for me I gave up on Plex on iOS a long time ago. Still using the backend and for a few specific use cases, but not as daily driver.
Same here - iPhone 15 Pro and latest Plex app version from the store. Uninstalled, reinstalled. App crashes immediately on the splash screen and its now totally unusable. Previously it would crash on the splash 2 times and then let me in the 3rd time.
