Plex App on LG TVs?

According to LG, their current Plex app is from 2/13/2015, v2.1.3. Is Plex no longer maintaining their app for LG TVs, or has there simply been no reason to need to update it? I’m considering an LG TV and would like a solid Plex app on it.

This app is just a “loader”.
There is almost never a need to update it.
It fetches the current up-to-date app directly from plex.tv
