Continuing the discussion from Plex for webOS 3.0+ (LG Televisions):
I have two LGs (webOS 5.40.09) and none of these new versions are showing in the app store. Latest version showing is 5.0.1 (released 14.04/2021)
Any ideas why? Think this is the reason that my servers still aren’t working securely.
Check Settings → About in the Plex LG app.
The Plex app in the LG store and installed on the TV is not the full version of the Plex app. When you launch the app on the TV it downloads the full app from a Plex server. 5.0.1 is the version of the loader app (probably not the correct term), which rarely needs updating. It will download the current version of the full app, currently 5.29.1.
