Plex for LG webOS updates?

Hi all,

The Plex App on my LG webOS TV was last updated on April 14 2021. However on the “Announcements / Plex for webOS 2.0+” topic, I can see many release updates since then.

Are those release announcements not related to updates in the LG App Store?

My LG “Content Store” says that this App was updated last on 14/04/2021, but if I go into the Plex app itself, Settings->About, it shows the version as 5.23.1, which is the latest mentioned in the Announcement->Plex for webOS 2.0+ topic.

What you are seeing there is the version of the “loader” app, which changes rarely.
The actual Plex app is loaded live over the internet as soon as you launch it on your TV.
Which is also why it doesn’t work without an internet connection.
