Plex app (Opera Store) on Sony TV crashes and disables network connections

So a few weeks ago I noticed that some shows/movies cause the plex app on BOTH of my Sony TV’s to crash after streaming for few minutes. Not all shows or movies do this at least from what I noticed thus far.

When the crash happens the plex app freezes and I to press Home on the remote to quit it. When I exit the app, the TV doesn’t have wifi and the home menu is borked with none of the apps having thumbnails and I have to manually reconnect to my WiFI in order to get everything working again.

I tried restarting/resetting the router, restarting PC and both TV’s, changing dns servers to Open DNS and messing around with transcoding speeds etc but the issue persists.

My TV’s models: KDL-40W705C and KDL-48w605B and they are both non Android TV’s working on the Opera Plex app version 3.13.13. Has anyone else noticed similar issues with the Opera store provided app on their TV?

I also attached some logs after the app froze when playing a couple of movies. I enabled the logging on the app and on the server.

Upon further inspection of the logs it seems that the TV’s are the ones closing the connection to the server. I found similar threads with the same error in the logs and they lead nowhere and are 2 years old so I guess no more plex for me.
