Up until a few days ago the Plex app on the Opera TV store was working fine with full Plex pass. Now in place of the app is a black space with the message that “Plex is currently unavailable in the Opera TV Store”
Plex has also stopped working from app section of my Sony TV, the app went offline on the TV a few days before the Opera Store. The message on the Sony TV app reads “This application has been disabled because of reported problems”
Any feedback appreciated.
I noticed that too but appears there is now a dedicated Plex app for Sony TVs, make sure your firmware is up to date and have a look in the app listings.

I had an update of firmware from Sony this morning when I switched the TV on, now Plex is back in the Opera Store and works (if you can really call this half baked beta working), still not able to link to Applications.

Yeah the Opera store app seems to be back up and running but but there's now no direct app in the Sony App Store, any feedback from plex on the status of the Sony TV app would be appreciated.

You're not gonna get that in any hurry, all the forums seem devoid of Plex Inc employee responses, they get more like Apple every day, but I think they are a few billion dollars behind them!!
My Plex app on the opera tv store is now working also, however there seems to be no need for this now as there is a proper plex app on my Sony TV (after I was prompted for a firmware update)

I have a KDL50W700B and am in New Zealand however I use a smartDNS service so the TV thinks I'm in the USA (otherwise I couldn't get netflix/amazon etc)

So you think (maybe) the app PLEX for the US market is available? ... I could change the region of my TV (and put US) or do like you and change DNS ..

I use Getflix.com.au, the app is just called "plex" you just have to scroll through the "all apps" listing until you find it.

@0mfgroflmao, we have a Bravia here as well with Sony TV Store. I installed the Plex app but whenever I launch it I'm told 'this app has been disabled because of reported issues'. It was a few days ago that I last checked. Can you confirm that the Sony Store one still works? I would use the Opera one but it's a pain to get to via the Opera Store and most of the time it has the issue where you can't see what's currently selected (the focus ring is black rather than orange).
If yours is still working I'll try a quick trial of Getflix in case I'm downloading an old one based on my region (NZ).
I have been scanning these forums trying to figure out how to even get the PLEX app from the Opera App store. I don't have an Opera App Store icon and can't find anyway to download anything from the Opera TV App storefront using a browser. Can someone please help me understand how to access the Opera App Store so I can at least TRY the PLEX app?

It showed me a PIN and a web page, I took that PIN into the web page and it says “All set…”, then the TV says “Your’re all set” but nothing happend… ther are just four (4) points on the screen and no options, no error messages, no navegation… nothing. Any thoughts or help?

What do you mean @vigvigler ? Plex for Opera TV exists (it is running on my Hisense TV).

How long did you wait, @diego80co ? I had to wait a few seconds for the website to proceed - I even thought it was stuck.
The Plex Opera client is essentially just a website being displayed by your Television’s browser (which happens to be Opera for Television)
