Plex App or Mobile Streaming not working

TV: LG webOS TV OLED65B8STB / sw 05.40.09 / airplay 25.06

Since updating the TV with the latest firmware the app only shows my local Plex server, remote servers aren’t reachable (network error).

Another LG TV (newer) on the same wifi network works.

Mobile application (same wifi) when trying to cast via airplay to Plex it gives an ‘error occurred loading items into the play queue. When I try to cast via airplay it starts for a single frame, the media then reverts to the beginning of the file and won’t progress. The apple cast screen appears on the TV.

Troubleshooting:

  • Different wifi networks and cabled.
  • Reset TV to factory
  • Reinstalled app
  • Unpaired and paired air play
  • Tested with another AirPlay device, iPad. (failed)
  • device screen mirroring works (on multiple devices).
  • set TV Manual DNS 8.8.8.8
  • called LG, can’t roll back firmware

Any help would be appreciated.
