Plex app restarts when fast forwarding in show

TV#: Sony KD-43X85J this is an Android system that uses GoogleTV.

As the title states, every time I fast forward/seek too much, the plex app crashes and restarts on its own. So I checked my TV for an update, including all google play apps. I’ve cleared the cache and restarted. Next, I uninstalled and did a complete power cycle by unplugging the tv. Next, I tried changing every setting that had to do with video or audio, including subtitles. Finally, I reinstalled plex and still have a problem.
