Plex App stoped working on 1.17.0.1841 and 1.18.0.1846

Player Version#: 4.5.1 Plex for Samsung TV QE55Q80RA

Just want to let know all the people that have been having problems in the last days, try to revert your server to 1.16.6.1592 and it might fix it.

When I upgraded to 1.17 (also tried 1.18) my app on the samsung tv got really slow and wouldn’t play anything most of the times, stuck on loading and eventually giving an error without error message and taking a long to load thumbnails. Tried everything on the TV, reinstaling the plex app, manual config for the server, factory reset… Nothing worked, but as soon as I reverted the server back to 1.16 it went all back to normal.

Where do we find the older versions of the server?

You can a download from the main page and then change the versions number to get the one you want.

My link is for debian, but you can do the same for any other OS.

The version I’m using is this one:

You can’t downgrade Frome 1.17 to 1.16 do I lose all my server settings? Try to install 1.16 over 1.17 but it don’t let me
