I really hope that there will be a change to the menu layout for Plex on ROKU. The new navigation is horrible and makes it harder to scroll through libraries. Has any one else heard of Plex changing the menu system back?

They’ve unfortunately posted twice that they have heard our feedback, don’t care for our feedback, and are sticking with the new menu system:

This is a reply to the leadership team at Plex We never had a say in the changes that drove the leadership team Plex’s UI decisions. The leadership team made the decisions for either monetary purposes or other non-transparent reasons.
IMO, Plex’s new UI design has not made the app on the Roku platform better – that is Plex’s leadership team’s opinion. The UI is slower. For instance a library with 4000+ entries has more than 5 seconds of delay (never put a stop watch to it) to populate the screen before one can make a selection.
Where is the evidence that shows Plex was made better. Please ask a third party to do a survey of the Plex user base and allowed them to present the evidence to the forum.
Well Happy New Year and hopefully a new awakening will will occur inside the Plex factory that will result in changes that really do improve Plex in 2026.

I’m with you there, its terrible. It does not work or look like the web app anymore, it leads to too many misclicks, and i hate the concept of doing what others do, but the old interface looked and worked more like every other streaming app on my Roku.
I am slowly moving to Jellyfin as I feel that it being more open source, when people don;t like something, people will make the changes to remediate it. Plex said they know we are mad, and they do not care. full stop Per the quote that was made above.

I do especially love the:
As it is so far away from “more customization and control”. Things have steadily declined for the Plex interface over the years as Plex actually truly was more customizable earlier on, and each “improvement” has been stripping that away.
