I’m trying to use an 8BitDo Zero 2 bluetooth controller with Plex Arcade on my Android phone and encountering an odd issue. The A & B Buttons work fine (characters shoot, jump, what have you), but the D-Pad refuses to work. I’ve tested the controller out on other non-Plex Arcade games (Stardew Valley) and it worked perfectly, so it’s not the controller.
I’ve tried changing and resetting the D-Pad settings from the online FAQ, but it hasn’t helped. Anyone else experiencing this issue? I have this controller expressly to carry with me and game on-the-go, so I assumed when the FAQ stated that “any bluetooth controller” would work, this one would as well.
Thanks @anon18523487. If it helps, I was testing this on all SNES emulated games, so I presumed a D-Pad controller would work?
Also, not sure if this is related, but when I tested the same SNES game on my desktop in a Chrome browser with a Steam Controller, the D-Pad worked (it was actually using the left stick for movement), but the X>Y A>B buttons did not do anything. The literal opposite of the Android experience.
Look forward to this response. Using free trial right now but won’t pay unless fixed. Can Parsec integrate a controller configuration option? At least for standard? I really, really want to support this idea as I think it’s awesome if successful. Tried using OTA USB PS5 controller and OTA USB SNES style.
Ugh I was really looking forward to using the 8BitDo on my Shield with Plex Arcade. Would love to see this fixed in the near future since it works wonderfully with the Xbox controller.
