Plex Arcade - Directional pad input gets "stuck"

Hi!
I’ve recently subscribed to Plex Arcade and quickly loaded a few Genesis ROMs to get things going. Playback and everything works fine but something odd happens while starting to play games. Whenever I start using the directional pad to move around, the input gets “stuck”; for example: while moving a character forward, once I depress the d-pad button, the character keeps moving forward. I Tried with a few games and I still have the same issue.
A few specs:

  • Windows server v1.23.6.4881
  • Sony Android Smart TV (XBR65X800H)
  • PS4 controller connected through bluetooth

Anyone have some ideas as to what seems to be the root cause?
Thanks

There is a Plex Game Transcoder logfile which should log the controller actions it sees.

Otherwise, a process of elimination would be good, IOW:

Which core are you using?
Do you only see the issue with the Genesis ROMs?
Do you see the issue using Chrome desktop?

That way we can narrow down if the issue is related to controller, network, client app, etc.

Hi @elan ,
After a little investigation,

  • Genesis Core I use: PicoDrive
  • Issue only with Genesis ROMs? No
  • Do you see the issue using Chrome desktop? No

I attached the transcoder log files for a sega rom game and a the bundled arcade game centiped.
Inputs seems to be normal.

Thanks.

I’m having the same problem. D pad gets stuck while playing games. See the issue with N64 and SNES roms. Using an Nvidia Shield. Tried with XBOX controllers and Nvidia Shield game controller. Both get stuck only on the D pad.
