Would very much like this feature to be added and would buy clients across all my devices if they supported it.

Iād love this too. My TV supports Netflix and YouTube directly, so I can use my iPad to navigate those apps and then āthrowā the video to my TV. It also has DLNA and can play from a plex server, but browsing on the TV sucks. Plex would be the final piece in my jigsaw - letting me use my iPad to access all my media without needing to switch inputs on my TV. Iād probably buy an iPad mini just to dedicate to that.

I tried a couple of android dlna controllers last night (including BubbleUPnP) to browse PMS and stream to my tv. While they did what I bought them for, I found them clunky and kept looking. I then bought Plex and spent a substantial amount of time browsing through my content and really enjoying the experience. The UI is very slick and attractive and I thought I had finally found what I was looking for. Then I tried to play something on my tv (what I bought it for)ā¦
As it stands, the application looks better than all of the others I have looked at, but canāt do the one thing that I require to actually make use of it. So I will put it aside. If I donāt find something else, I might keep checking to see whether this feature has been added. Until then, it is of no practical use to me.

What's the status of these features?
I really would like to see "DLNA/UPnP Control Point" functionality in the Web Interface of Plex Media Server (especially the Linux versions which I use myself)
I have installed Plex Media Server on my Linux notebook and would like to use the Web interface that comes with Plex Media Server to be able to stream music to my "DLNA/UPnP Renderer" (Myro Air)
That would be the perfect solution, the web interface that comes with Plex Media Server is so great to play music, but without "DLNA/UPnP Control Point" functionality I can only play this music locally through my notebook speakers.
Please make this possible soon, that would make Plex near perfect :D
DLNA/UPnP Render functionality in Plex would also be great!
I am also supporting control and rendering features on PMS. It would be awesome to have a uPNP/DLNA channel in Plex that could stream video from my HD Homerun box. This would add live cable TV channels to Plex.
This would be really great to have this function!! (XBMC has it now since a while... "play using..")

+1 for this feature request. Ā IMHO "play to" (UPnP renderer) is the #1 missing feature in Plex.
And another PlexPass subscriber wanting this feature - seems that most other clients support this and its a bit frustrating that Plex doesn't. Ā I have a Samsung TV that runs the Plex app but I cannot cast to and a Neet music streamer but cannot cast to either.

Iād also like to see this. I have a Linn DS and would prefer to be able to instruct it to pull content directly from PMS rather than lose quality by AirPlaying it through iOS.

Count me In too! Just own a Sony 2014 TV and the Plex app within the Opera Store is not helping here. It is simply too slow: startup the Opera TV Store app 10+sec and then start the PLEX app. I DLNA works for the IOS PLex Client and I can select the TV as an DLNA renderer it would be much more efficient. Ā
