There are now various WiFi Speakers that utilize media like a smartphone would, and usually a smartphone is used as the screen for the device. They work with your wireless network or through various services, such as Pandora, Amazon Music, Murfie, and others. Since these types of speakers are picking up in popularity, I’d really love if a Plex app were created for this purpose, allowing users to browse their music/audio library and bring in their playlists.
I’m aware you can connect via Bluetooth to these speakers and use the plex app on a mobile device, but the point of these speakers is that they are independent of another device, allow you to play different things on different speakers, or share the same audio to multiple speakers throughout the house.
