Plex cannot find my media files with some kind of filename ( [] in filename)

Media filename like “[HYSUB]Utawarerumono-Futari no Hakuoro-[14][GB_MP4][1920X1080].mp4” cannot be found.

it can be found when the filename was changed to “[HYSUB]Utawarerumono-Futari no Hakuoro-04[GB_MP4][1920X1080].mp4” (remove “[”“]” )

This is no valid filename for a tv show episode.

No. Particularly not when you enclose crucial information in square brackets. Anything between square brackets is ignored by Plex.

If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using Download - tinyMediaManager and use:

Episode format:
${showTitle} - S${seasonNr2}E${episodeNr2} - ${title}

Folder format:
${showTitle} (${showYear}) {tvdb-${tvShow.ids.tvdb}}/Season ${seasonNr2}

as the new name format.
