Plex client and server installed on QNAP NAS? 4K is desired

Hey all, I’m new to Plex and building a NAS in general, so I could use some advice.

My desired outcome is to have a single NAS device in the cabinet that’s doing the following: running a Plex server, Sonarr, Nzbget, Headphones, AND the Plex client.

I want the Plex client on the NAS, because I am planning on buying a NAS with an HDMI 2.0 port to take advantage of 4K.

My receiver can pass 4K and decode TrueHd/atmos.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how they’ve installed the client on their NAS itself?

Did you spin up a new virtual machine and put a client on that?

Is there a native QNAP Client for plex?

The QNAP NAS I’m teasing is the TS-453D.

I am not wanting to buy an NVIDIA shield, trying to keep it all in one box.

Other clients in the home and on the go won’t be streaming 4K so that’s not an issue.

But the NAS will be in the entertainment room and will be directly connected to the receiver.

Thanks in advance!
