Plex Collections of Movies & TV Shows are showing when hidden

When viewing my Movie & TV Show libraries they suddenly seem to be displaying their respective titles, including the titles found within Collections, when the setting to “Hide items which are in collections” is enabled.

I have viewing these libraries, I am viewing them by default and sorting by titles.

As you can see 28 Days Later collection is being displayed in the Library, and it is the same with all of the Collections in both Movies and TV Shows.

I have tested this and get the same result on both Mac Desktop & Web interfaces, however the libraries display correctly on iOS and XBOX players (where when viewing the libraries the Collections show as collapsed items and their contents are not displayed outside of them instead of them).

I believe I recently performed an update on my Mac Desktop player, and the player was acting very sluggish and odd before I decided to restart the app, which initiated the update.

Any advice?

Same issue here when using Plex for Windows v.1.82.1.4022-2e4fdbb9 (the November 21, 2023 release).

Showing no collections at all in “library view” for movies, but does when in “library view” for my tv-series library. Also the “Smart Collections” only show in “collections view”, even when enabled to be visible everywhere.

Encountered no issues on other players (tested Xbox Series X, PS5, Windows HTPC, LG TV, Chromecast and iOS devices).

Plex Web Library Issue

The issue has been reported to the developers. They are aware and are working on a fix. It might not land immediately, since Thanksgiving weekend in the U.S. is upon us.
