I have been having an issue with Plex crashing sporadically since about November of last year. There was an update I ran back then and let sit for about 30 minutes before trying to refresh. Plex came back up, but soon after started crashing. Sometimes it would last 5 minutes, sometimes a couple hours, it was completely random. Without fail though, it would crash.
I have zero idea why, but for the last couple of months it has been fine. I was able to run updates without issue, reboot, close Plex, reopen, all was fine.
I didn’t change anything hardware or software wise. Last Friday I decided to try updating Plex and now I am stuck in this same boat again. Looking through old topics this doesn’t sound like a new issue and sounds like a patch was required to fix the underlying issue.
Last time this happened I tried reinstalling Plex and re-adding media. This made no difference. I had posted on these forums and someone asked me to try turning off intro/credit detection which I did, but it didn’t seem to make much of a difference. A few weeks later I had tried to run Plex again and it was fine. I can’t explain it.
I have attached the logs with this. If anyone is able to check to see what’s going on. Im about at my wits end lol
