I am trying to remove a folder from my music library and every time it says changes cannot be saved, then plex crashes, disappears from the tray and I have to restart plex. I just want to remove a folder from the music library.

It looks like the server crashed while it was still busy deleting all the metadata it had assigned to each track.
I have only one idea:
Perform the https://support.plex.tv/articles/201100678-repair-a-corrupt-database/
procedure.
Afterwards start up the server and just let it sit for several minutes.
Do nothing during this time. No library updates, no sync activity, no playback.
Then repeat the deletion attempt.
Thank you for your reply and time. Would it be possible to just remove the music library and let it start over, or would it be assumed I’ll have the same issue removing the library from the database and have to fix it either way?
Just trying to avoid touching the database if possible, sounds scary if not done properly.
Unfortunately not. You already tried to “just remove the music library”. That’s when it crashed.
It is either repairing the database
or
deleting it altogether, which will remove all libraries and all played/unplayed status, all metadata etc pp.
