My plex sever, running on windows keeps crashing. I’ve attached the logs, sorry verbose logging was on. I’ve turned off verbose logging and can re-enable it if necessary. Attached are the logs from this morning, when plex crashed twice. Plex Tuner Service.zip (2.1 MB)
Plex is crashing every 2 or 3 days. I can tell when it’s getting close to crashing because movie posts stop loading in my library. Plex Crash Uploader.1.zip (1.5 MB)
I’m still seeing crashes on Version 1.25.3.5409. I noticed this happening when an apple TV is streaming from my Plex server. I was at my computer when it just happened. CPU spiked to 100% fans went crazy and plex crashed. plex logs.zip (4.0 MB)
I am seeing this happen as well, whenever a user streams to an Apple TV it crashes my server, without fail. It works fine with other devices, such as an iPad & Shield TV Pro (latest).
1080P SDR TV / 1st Gen Apple TV 4K
I believe they’ve tried streaming SD/HD & 4K HDR (hw transcoding enabled, hdr tone mapping disabled, max quality on server & ATV) and it crashes the server consistently.
Mine shuts down every couple of days, meaning I have to force the bloody thing to work again on the Plex only PC I have under the stairs.
Remember the days when Plex used to be good…?
I’ve been having this same issue happen for a couple of months. Initially I rolled back to a prior media server version and it fixed it but then eventually the server updated and the problem returned. Frequency has gone from once every several days to seemingly daily. Like you, I can also tell it’s going to crash soon because my posters stop loading on Plex web. I’m seeing a handful of posts on the forums referencing similar issues lately but no one seems to have a solution. I can confirm it’s still crashing on 1.25.6.5577. I’m hoping a update will magically fix this issue without me having to wipe my installation. I’m resorting to a scheduled task killing and relaunching the process every morning in the mean time.
