So I have my Plex Media Server running on my desktop like I have every day for years now. I hop on and double click and get a massive error "PLEX SERVER CREDENTIALS HAVE EXPIRED"
Little strange but ok let me close the program and reopen it. Same error and now I am logged out of Plex.tv and the app. I attempt to sign in 10 times and every time i get an error that NO ACCOUNT EXISTS with those credentials. WTF
I attempt to reset password but no recovery email can be sent cause my account doesn’t exist apparently. Fun Fun
Since Plex has NO WAY TO CONTACT A LIVE PERSON other than this dam forum which requires a login… What does one do? Maybe email account support? NOPE Plex doesn’t have one, Call? Nope Plex doesn’t have a support number. They sure do take my money on time every month but cant provide me support…
After dozens and dozens of attempts, uninstall reinstalling, speaking to friends with this terrible service who are having the same issue I somehow am able to login on my local Plex client and what do I see…
“This server is unclaimed and not secure”
“3 Updates behind when I wasn’t as of the day before”
and “the Wrong persons name on my Media Server (top right)”
How does this happen when I did NOTHING? Well, I’m sure people who poke and scream like its some how my fault but the truth is this $hit service fails on a daily basis. Needs CONSTANT daily updates that always makes things worse, has ZERO accountability when things go wrong and my favorite… has no way to be reached when it really counts.
I’m just so sick of not getting answers from this company.
