I was chatting with friends and it came to me that it would be really awesome if we could get some CRT filter option for when viewing media which was originally released in the CRT era. Many movies, (especially in high quality remux/remasters) have the film noise effect, which on a CRT gives a very different feel compared to modern LCD/OLED displays. It would be great if we could have some filter in the plex apps that can turn on such an effect, much like many modern game systems which are designed for playing retro games, have CRT filter options that can be toggled so modern displays can better represent the image.
